Figures behind Pogba’s contract with Juventus

Paul Pogba is currently completing his medicals with Juventus before putting pen to paper on a long-term deal.

The 29-year-old Frenchman is joining the Bianconeri on a free transfer following his contract’s expiration with Manchester United last week. Pogba had a fairly difficult six-year spell in the North West of England, often failing to convince the fans and pundits alike of his quality.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport, once Pogba’s medicals have been completed, he’ll sign a three year contract with an option for a fourth with Juventus. The deal will see him earn €8m net per season plus €2m in add-ons, with the move benefiting from the Growth Decree law.

Pogba is a much-needed addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield and the club hope he’ll inject some life into the system following a fairly lethargic campaign last season.

During his first spell in Turin, the French midfielder scored 34 goals and provided 40 assists in 177 appearances.
