Former Roma coach Jose Mourinho confirmed he has chosen his next job at Fenerbahce, admitted ex-Inter player Wesley Sneijder. ‘It’s all true, he told me.’

The Special One was sacked by Roma in mid-January after taking the club to the Conference League triumph and then the Europa League Final.

He was replaced by Daniele De Rossi and said repeatedly in recent months that he wanted to give careful consideration to his next role, wanting to avoid making a mistake.

There were proposals from the Saudi Pro League, the Premier League and Portugal, but he seems to have settled on Turkey with Fenerbahce.

Mourinho even posted a picture on his Instagram Stories of a packed suitcase, as he is off to his next destination.

Meanwhile, his former Inter midfielder Sneijder spoke to Sky Sport Italia and confirmed the news.

“It’s all true, he told me this morning, Mourinho is going to be the coach of Fenerbahce. Considering my past with Galatasaray, it will make it a little more difficult for us to meet up!”

This is believed to be a contract with Fenerbahce to June 2026.

The 61-year-old coach had been at Roma since 2021 and his contract was meant to run to June 30, 2024 before he was dismissed.

Before that, his clubs included Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter and FC Porto.
