Empoli: ‘Milan have €8m Krunic deal’

Milan have beaten Genoa to the signature of Empoli creative midfielder Rade Krunic. “We’ll close the deal for €8m,” said President Fabrizio Corsi.

He'll sign a four-year contract worth €1.2m per season.

“Krunic will play for Milan next season,” Empoli patron Corsi told Calciomercato.com. “We’ll close the deal for €8m.”

Krunic, a Bosnia-Herzegovina international, had been expected to follow Empoli Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli to Genoa and was already linked with the club in January.

Watford, Torino and Eintracht Frankfurt were also interested.

However, Milan dived in with a late swoop for the 25-year-old.

He contributed five goals and six assists in 33 Serie A games this season, but was injured during the run-in and couldn’t help them prevent relegation.
