The Gazzetta dello Sport lists diet and details as new Coach Pippo Inzaghi’s key focuses at Milan for the coming season.

The 40-year-old was yesterday officially presented to the media as the Rossoneri’s new Coach, having agreed to come in earlier in the summer to replace Clarence Seedorf.

On from hinting as much in his conference, the former striker is described by the Gazzetta dello Sport today as particularly focused on diet and nutrition.

It is reported that on the menu for the players during their preseason training will be food such as white rice, chicken, vegetables and fruit.

Inzaghi, who was seen as a player to hold a similar focus on what he ate, has also apparently taken particular inspiration from tennis player and Milan fan Novak Djokovic’s change in diet, and the world number one’s assertion that it helped improve his performance levels.

Meanwhile, the pink paper also assert that Inzaghi’s work with his technical staff at Milanello through the season will include particular focus on details.

Relying on scout Fulvio Fiorin’s reports of upcoming opponents, Andrea Maldera and Nicola Matteucci are seen as tasked with handling tactical aspects in response, alongside dead-ball specialist Gianni Vio.

One of Inzaghi’s reported priorities is to have Milan start the season strongly – the team have been notorious slow starters for a number of seasons.
