During his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Milan keeper Dida suggested that Inter captain Lautaro Martinez does not deserve the Ballon d’Or.

France Football has included El Toro in the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist. The Argentinean led Inter and his national team to win Serie A and Copa America, becoming the top goal scorer in both competitions.

However, ex-keeper Dida feels that other players did even more than Lautaro in 2023-24.

“He is doing well in Serie A for Inter and his national team, but I think some players are even better,” Dida told Gazzetta.

In the same interview, the former Brazil international said that new Milan coach Paulo Fonseca must be given time after a poor start to the 2024-25 campaign at San Siro.
