Di Maria waiting on Barcelona, no rush to seal Juventus move – report

Angel Di Maria is in no rush to complete his free transfer to Juventus as he waits to see if there is any interest from Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

The Argentina winger is leaving Paris Saint-Germain once his contract expires on June 30 and had appeared set to move to the Old Lady.

However, Mundo Deportivo report the ex-Real Madrid man is waiting to see if a transfer to Barcelona is viable before taking a decision on his future as a move to Camp Nou would be his preferred option.

Barca face the prospect of losing Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer this summer as the France winger’s own contract runs out, with Chelsea hotly tipped to make a move.

The Catalan giants also appear to have been priced out of a move for Leeds United’s Raphinha, who had been lined up as a replacement – which leaves Di Maria a realistic short-term option.

Di Maria spent four seasons, from 2010 to 2014, with Barca’s arch-rivals Real Madrid, where he won a LaLiga title, Copa del Rey and Champions League.
