Details behind Rebic’s potential Besiktas transfer and how much money Milan will save

Sky Sport Italia claims Besiktas could secure a deal to sign Milan striker Ante Rebic by tonight, helping the Rossoneri save €14m from the striker’s salary.

Besiktas are in advanced talks with Milan for the purchase of the Croatia international, who is not part of Stefano Pioli’s plans and hasn’t joined the rest of the team in the USA for a pre-season tour.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Turkish side and Milan could strike a deal for Rebic by tonight.

It will be a permanent transfer allowing the Rossoneri to get €2m if specific targets are met.

According to Sportitalia and Calciomercato.com, Rebic is open to moving to Turkey despite having two years left in his contract at San Siro.

Sky Sport highlights Rebic earns €3.5m per season, so the Rossoneri will save €14m from the striker’s salary, including taxes, if he leaves.

Rebic has scored 29 goals in 123 games with Milan, joining the Rossoneri from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019.
