Mattia De Sciglio is close to renewing his contract with Juventus, although he’s had to accept a salary drop in order to do so.
The 29-year-old Italian full back re-found his form in Turin this season following the return of coach Massimiliano Allegri. He has played a consistent role for the Bianconeri this season, filing in as both a left and right back, proving himself to be tactically flexible. His current deal is set to expire in June, forcing Juventus to act.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, De Sciglio is ready to extend his contract with Juventus for another three years, meaning his new deal will expire in June 2025. He’s agreed to drop his salary from €2.7m net per season to €1.5m net per season including add-ons.
The 29-year-old De Sciglio has made 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1801 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided three assists.
