Cutrone: ‘I am always ready’

Patrick Cutrone assured he is “always ready when called upon” by the Italy U-21s or Wolves, but he “remains a Milan fan.”

The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker scored a late brace in the Italy Under-21 side’s 3-0 win over Iceland this evening.

“I am very happy with the win, as we struggled a little at the start, but then came together and scored three good goals,” Cutrone told Tuttomercatoweb.

“I am very happy with the win, as we struggled a little at the start, but then came together and scored three good goals,” Cutrone told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Iceland were defending deep and then going on the counter-attack. We knew it was going to be tough, but once we began to really play our football, we took control.”

Cutrone has not played that much since moving from Milan to Wolves, while his old club could probably also do with his services at the moment.

“I am in good shape physically and always train to the max. I try to always be ready when called upon, whether it’s to start or off the bench.

“Both I and the coach know it takes time to settle in and adapt to the Premier League. I am doing that, getting into the philosophy of the team and I get along with everybody.

“I remain a Milan fan and wish them all the best. I hope that the team can climb back up the table and prove its greatness. It is disappointing to see.”
