This summer they signed Cristiano Ronaldo, as they seek to lift the European Cup for the first time since 1996.

“We know that the only thing that matters here is to win and we’ll do our best to bring home as many trophies as possible,” Cuadrado told Fox Sports.

“We want to win the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia, then if we can reach the Champions League final it’ll be even better. We hope to do it.

“It’s a very difficult competition because, obviously, it has the best teams in Europe, but we’re ready and we want to get to the end in this tournament.

“We need to stay calm because we know we’re a great team and that we can do it.”

Cuadrado also discussed Cristiano Ronaldo, for whom he gave up the number 7 shirt.

“We didn’t just find out today that he’s a great champion and a superstar striker. He just has to stay calm, sooner or later he’ll score and then the goals will flow.”
