Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United won’t be in Champions League

While Juventus booked their Champions League spot, this is the first time in 20 years that Cristiano Ronaldo failed to qualify and he laughed in disbelief at Manchester United’s latest humiliation.

The Portuguese legend walked away from Juve over the summer after three years in Serie A, stating he wanted to play in the Champions League with his old club Manchester United.

However, their shocking 4-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton this evening made it mathematically impossible for the Reds to qualify for the Champions League.

Depending on other results, even the Europa League could be in doubt and they could end up in the Conference League for the 2022-23 campaign.

If Ronaldo were to remain at Old Trafford, it’d be his first season outside of the Champions League since 2002-03 at Sporting CP.

CR7 has become the icon of the defeat to Brighton, as he was spotted laughing in disbelief when United conceded the third of what would eventually be four goals.
