Corvino on Gila and Monty

Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has been questioned about the futures of Alberto Gilardino and Riccardo Montolivo.

The Italian internationals have been linked with summer moves away from Florence after the club's struggles to fight for major honours over the last two seasons.

Gilardino recently admitted that he will assess his options in the summer, amid interest from Juventus, while Montolivo has so far refused to sign a contract extension presented to him.

"Gilardino is an asset of ours, for now we are just thinking about the present and not the future," Corvino noted.

"As for Montolivo, everyone knows that there is an offer on the table but it makes no sense to put pressure on the player.

"However, if he and his agent tell us that they are ready to sign the deal then we'll quickly find the time to meet and put pen to paper."

Montolivo, club captain, has been associated with a move to Inter given that his Viola contract expires in 2012.
