CorSport: Man City join Man Utd in race for Napoli defender Kim

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Manchester City have joined their Premier League rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae.

The Rome-based paper claims the latest Champions League winners are determined to sign Kim who has a release clause valid in the first two weeks of July.

It’s worth at least €50m but raises depending on the revenues of the club activating it. The Manchester clubs must pay €58-60m to secure the defender’s signature.

According to the report, City and United are leading the race to sign Kim, but Corriere dello Sport doesn’t mention Bayern Munich who, according to Sky Sport Italia, are in advanced talks with the player’s entourage.

Kim joined Napoli for just €18m last summer and contributed to their first Serie A title in 33 years.

The South Korea international turns 27 on November 15 and made 45 appearances across all competitions with Napoli in 2022-23, scoring two goals.
