Cordoba believes in Inter dream of Lautaro-Dybala-Lukaku

Former Inter defender Ivan Cordoba believes that a front three of Lautaro Martinez, Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku would gel well.

The Nerazzurri are desperate to strengthen Simone Inzaghi’s squad this summer following their near-miss in the title race in the season just gone, finishing two points behind intercity rivals Milan. Things are all but finalised for the Belgian forward and work is still ongoing to secure the Argentinian forward’s signature, meaning the dream trio is a genuine possibility now.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Cordoba commented on if a front three of Lautaro, Dybala and Lukaku would make sense and gel well.

“I am amazed that there are people who believe they cannot play together, it’s inconceivable to me, great teams win with great players, they can always play together.

“Let’s think about the great teams in history, they have won with many great players.”

Milan Skriniar could be sold by Inter to the interested Paris Saint-Germain this summer in order to help them fund their transfer ventures, with media reports suggesting that they need to close the window with a positive balance of €80m.

Simone Inzaghi’s usual system is a 3-5-2, so if both Lukaku and Dybala do arrive this summer then it’s likely that a slight tactical change would be needed to best accommodate the trio.
