Conte’s transfer targets at Tottenham revealed

According to multiple reports in Italy, Dusan Vlahovic and Franck Kessié are Antonio Conte’s priority targets for Tottenham in January.

The Italian tactician has agreed to take over in North London, earning almost €1m per month.

Today, he will take his first training session at his new club.

Conte has received guarantees that Spurs will invest in new signings in January and La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com report that Dusan Vlahovic and Franck Kessié are on top of his transfer shopping list.

Vlahovic sees his Fiorentina contract expire in June 2023, but President Rocco Commisso has already announced that the striker won’t sign a contract extension at the Artemio Franchi.

Joe Barone has refused to rule out that the striker will leave in January and La Gazzetta dello Sport reported last week that Fabio Paratici had met Fiorentina directors to discuss the 21-year-old striker.

Kessié, on the other hand, sees his Milan contract expire in June 2022 and both Fabio Paratici and Conte are admirers of the Ivorian midfielder.

His contract extension at San Siro seems unlikely and although the Rossoneri are not planning to sell him in January, a big-money offer could help the Serie A giants change their mind.

Il Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport report Inter defender Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij are also among Conte’s targets and so is Nicolò Barella, but the Nerazzurri are not willing to sell them.

The contracts of the two defenders expire in June 2023, while Barella will soon extend his deal until June 2026.

The Premier League giants will also keep a close eye on Marcelo Brozovic given that his current deal with the Nerazzurri expires this coming June.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio‘s Manuel Lazzari is also being monitored by Spurs, now that Conte is in charge.

The former SPAL man is playing as a right-back in Lazio’s 4-3-3 formation under Maurizio Sarri, but he is known to be a natural wing-back in a 3-5-2 line-up and Tottenham are lacking players in that position.
