According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte will earn almost €1m-a-month at Tottenham, but his debut in North London could be postponed due to bureaucratic issues linked with Brexit.
Conte arrived in London on Monday to sign a contract until June 2023 with Tottenham.
According to the report, Conte is happy to return to England, where he spent two years in charge of Chelsea between 2016 and 2018.
Tottenham are expected to announce his appointment today, when Conte will sign his contract and take his first training session with his new team.
However, it could take longer than expected to see the Italian tactician taking over his first game in North London.
Spurs host Vitesse in a Conference League group stage game on Thursday, but Conte’s debut could be postponed to Sunday, November 7, when the Premier League giants visit Everton.
That’s because Tottenham are working on getting a working visa for Conte in time for Thursday’s match. If they don’t make it in time, then the Italian tactician will take charge of his first Tottenham game at Goodison Park.
