Antonio Conte said he’d ‘enjoy’ Inter-Juventus, and he certainly did so as his Napoli side earned two points on both Scudetto rivals last night.

Inter and Juventus put on a show on Sunday, grabbing a spectacular 4-4 draw at San Siro.

It’s a result that would surely please Napoli coach Conte, who is now four points above Inter at the top of the Serie A table and five points above Juventus.

The Partenopei beat strugglers Lecce 1-0 at the Stadio Maradona on Saturday, on the eve of the San Siro showdown.

When asked if he’d be watching the game between his former clubs, Conte replied: “I will watch certainly, because I have such a passion for this sport that I must see a game of this level.

“We know they are very, very strong teams and we have the utmost respect for them, so we’ll enjoy the game.”

The ex-Chelsea and Tottenham boss certainly enjoyed the match and the result. As Gazzetta reported, Conte has never had a four-point lead after nine league games.

Furthermore, his Napoli side looks extremely solid defensively, having kept six clean sheets in nine Serie A games. The Partenopei didn’t concede in just seven matches across the entire 2023-24 campaign.

The Serie A leaders have already met Juventus this season, collecting a 0-0 draw at the Allianz Stadium in September.

Before the November break, they’ll meet three more title contenders: Milan, Atalanta and Inter.

The first game is against the Rossoneri at San Siro tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29. Then Napoli will host Atalanta at the Maradona on November 3 before travelling to Milan again on November 10 to face Inter.
