Conte could solve Donnarumma’s dilemma at PSG

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte is a candidate for the PSG job and his appointment would change the status of Gigio Donnarumma at the club.

Keylor Navas and Mauricio Pochettino have suggested that PSG will no longer rotate goalkeepers next season. “The situation has to change one way or another,” the former Real Madrid star said.

Keylor has a contract until 2024 and PSG must decide whether to sell him or Donnarumma in the summer because neither of the two goalkeepers wants to be the second choice for 2022-23.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gigio may leave the club on loan and a return to Italy is on the cards if the Ligue 1 giants decide to send him out temporarily. However, the future of Donnarumma and Keylor will mainly depend on the PSG coach for next season.

The pink paper suggests that Pochettino will likely leave in the summer and both Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte are among the candidates for the job. However, the former Real Madrid boss seems more tempted by the France job after Qatar 2022. Conte remains a strong contender, although his contract in North London expires in June 2023. There had been reports of contacts between the Italian coach and the PSG board over the last few weeks.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte would be the best option for Donnarumma’s future as the former Juve and Inter coach would surely pick him as PSG’s No.1 for next season. In the meantime, rotations in PSG’s goal will continue until the end of the campaign.
