Chiellini close to Juventus renewal

Reports suggest Giorgio Chiellini is on the verge of signing a two-year extension to his Juventus contract.

The defender’s current deal expires in the summer, and so far he hasn’t put pen to paper on a new deal.

He had been linked with a reunion with Antonio Conte at Chelsea, but the Blues boss said this week “I think he wants to finish his career at Juventus”.

Now Corriere della Sera is reporting that a deal has been agreed on a two-year extension to take Chiellini up to 2020, when he’ll be 36.
