Chelsea losing patience with Lukaku

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are losing patience with Romelu Lukaku, who is unwilling to move to Saudi Arabia and keeps waiting for a new European club.

The pink paper claims Al-Hilal have raised their offer for the 30-year-old to €50m per season. The Saudi Pro League side have proposed the same fee for Chelsea, higher than Juventus‘ €40m bid.

According to Gazzetta, Chelsea are losing patience with the former Inter striker and are pushing his representative to take a decision regarding Lukaku’s future.

The Belgian refused to reply to Inter’s calls last week and opened talks with Juventus instead. Therefore, the Nerazzurri have retired from the race to sign him and have targeted Alvaro Morata and Folarin Balogun, among others.

Lukaku is currently training at Cobham and hasn’t joined the rest of the Chelsea squad in the USA for their pre-season tour.

Tuttosport reported last week that Lukaku’s lawyer Sebastien Ledure would accept Al-Hilal’s offer, but the striker wants to keep playing in Europe.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are ready to make an offer for Lukaku regardless of Dusan Vlahovic’s sale. The Rome-based paper claims Lukaku has already agreed personal terms with the Old Lady.
