Capello brought home four Scudetti during his time with the Diavolo, including the invincible season in 1991-92, and is not sure if his former employer are doing the right thing by planning to start again with only foreigners at the helm.
“The Rossoneri lack continuity. They had [Gennaro] Gattuso, but they sacked him to take [Marco] Giampaolo, who they replaced with [Stefano] Pioli,” he told Libero. “They had Boban and Maldini, who, one before the other were shown the door.
“Now they have decided to rely completely on foreigners, including the coach. Who knows if they are doing the right thing?”
The 73-year-old is also worried about the ‘short period’ between the return to training and the restart in Serie A.
“The important thing is to start again. However, the period between the resumption of training and the matches is too short.
“Especially as the players have been inactive for two months. And the matches [behind closed doors] won’t be real, there will be no heat from public. Many clubs will suffer.”
The initial protocol insisted on isolating the whole team in the even of a positive test among the players, but Capello has claimed it would be impossible.
“The whole group can’t be stopped should there be an infected player,” he added. “The only solution is to remove the positive player and subject everyone else to the swab test."
