Juventus and Uruguay full-back Martin Caceres needs surgery after fracturing his left ankle in training.
He sustained the injury during today’s training session and it was initially referred to as a sprain.
However, this evening the club released a statement confirming tests had shown a fracture of the medial malleolus.
Caceres will go under the knife at the Fornaca clinic in Turin tomorrow.
Only after the surgery will Juventus medics give a better idea of how long Caceres will be out for.
