Roma striker Fabio Borini is on the verge of moving back to England with Liverpool, BBC Sport understands.

Borini has only spent one season in Rome and was co-owned by Parma until the Giallorossi purchased his exclusive rights last month for €5.3m.
Liverpool had been expected to announce a new signing in the next couple of days, with Rodgers stating: “We hope to complete a deal this week which will be a real exciting one for the club.
“He will be terrific, I'm sure. And the supporters will absolutely love him.”
Just yesterday Roma talisman Francesco Totti called for new Coach Zdenek Zeman to sign some new players, so Borini’s imminent departure would be a blow for the club.
Borini first worked with Rodgers in the reserves at Chelsea, where he joined as a 16-year-old from Bologna in 2007. He failed to establish himself but Rodgers, while the manager of Swansea, signed him for a brief but impressive loan spell in 2010-11.
The striker netted nine goals last season for Roma, but it now appears that he will be leaving Italy for the second time.
Borini was in Italy’s Euro 2012 squad, but he wasn’t used in the competition.
