The 26th round of Serie A action kicks off this evening when high-flyers Bologna look to take a step forward in the top four race with a win over strugglers Hellas Verona.

The match between the Rossoblu and the Gialloblu kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Bologna.

Bologna have continued to fly high under coach Thiago Motta, rising to fifth in the Serie A table after 25 games, looking to be serious competitors in the fight for a Champions League spot. The team have won their last four consecutive games, beating Sassuolo, Lecce, Fiorentina and Lazio.

The Rossoblu’s only absence is Adama Soumaoro, who will return in the coming weeks following a knee injury.

Hellas Verona are still sat in the relegation zone and need to start putting points on the board fast to give themselves a shot of escaping before the business end of the season. They’ve only won one of their last eight games, but did hold Juventus to a 2-2 draw last weekend.

The Gialloblu cannot count on the injured Juan Manuel Cruz and Tijjani Noslin is also in doubt.

When these two teams met in Serie A back in September, they were forced to share a point apiece after a goalless draw.
