Bojan happy at Roma

Bojan Krkic is happy to spend next season at Roma, according to a FIFA agent close to the player.

The young Spaniard was linked with a return to Barcelona earlier this summer, but agent Diego Tavano has claimed that any talk of him leaving Roma is purely speculation.

“There were some teams interested,” Tavano revealed. “But Bojan has expressed a desire to stay. It can be an important year for him.”

“Were Inter looking at him? No, that was just rumours.

“He is ready at Roma – very strong and I think there are grounds to do well, both personally and for the team.”

The 21-year-old Spaniard signed a two-year loan deal with the Giallorossi last summer, joining from Barcelona, where he was an academy product.

Bojan’s situation is unique because he is about to enter the second year of that loan but with a €28m clause inserted if Roma want to buy him permanently, he will almost certainly return to Barca at the end of the coming season.

As a result, rumours had previously suggested that either Bojan or Roma will try to engineer their way out of their contract as soon as possible, freeing him to return to Barca or go elsewhere.
