Domenico Berardi insists ‘it doesn’t matter who starts’ against Turkey on June 11, Italy know ‘they’ll give 100 per cent’ for the Nazionale.

He found the net for the fifth time in his last six Azzurri caps, during a 4-0 demolition of the Czech Republic in Bologna, the final warm-up game before Euro 2020.

“I am very happy. I think we did well, apart from the opening minutes when we were quite rusty,” the Sassuolo star told RAI Sport.

“It was an important test for us to prepare in the best possible way for the opening Euros match. It doesn’t matter if I start, Federico Chiesa or Federico Bernardeschi. Whoever plays, we all know that they’ll give 100 per cent.

“I can improve, certainly, both in training and in games. I hope Italy can go as far as possible in this tournament.”
