Benatia: ‘Juve waited for Crotone to tire’

Medhi Benatia notes Juventus kept calm and waited for Crotone to tire before smashing the minnows 3-0.

“We ran few risks in the first half, but Crotone were very well-organised, they were all behind the ball and we had to keep the ball moving. Naturally, they got tired in the second half and we made the most of it to score the goals,” the defender told Mediaset Premium.

“It’s important to get those goals and we’re in a difficult moment, but we know that if we defend well, then those up front will always get the goals.”

The Bianconeri stay within four points of Serie A leaders Napoli ahead of Friday’s Stadio San Paolo showdown.

“Napoli are having a great campaign, they play very good football and everyone knows our objective is to win.”
