‘Bayern wouldn’t spend €100m on a senior’

Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness claims his club ‘would never have’ spent €112m on a ‘senior’ like Juventus did to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is the second time Bayern have publicly criticised Juve for investing an Italian-record sum on Ronaldo, although Hoeness clarified the German giants would have ‘with our eyes closed if he was 24’.

“He’s 33 years old, a senior,” he told Bild.
