Balotelli agent blasts Brits

The agent of Mario Balotelli and Marek Hamsik has slammed British tabloids, as “they are good only for cleaning car windows.”

Mino Raiola is among Italy’s most famous representatives and is increasingly forced to deal with the English media now that Balotelli is at Manchester City and Napoli star Hamsik is targeted by many Premier League clubs.

“It’s not true that Balotelli was kicked out of his house in Manchester, as we terminated the contract for legal reasons instead,” Raiola told Radio CRC.

“The English tabloids are good only for cleaning car windows. I'm amazed that every piece of rubbish is amplified in the media. I even read yesterday that I was meant to be in negotiations with Inter and Milan for Balotelli, but there is absolutely no truth in these stories.

“As for reports of Chelsea’s interest in Hamsik and Edinson Cavani, those came out of The Sun, a paper that frankly isn’t even good for cleaning car windows. If Roman Abramovich had wanted Cavani and Hamsik, after reading the story in that paper, he would’ve changed his mind.

“Clearly if Marek renews his contract, then he has no intention of leaving Napoli. Then President Aurelio De Laurentiis will be free to accept an offer when he thinks it is right for a Napoli player.”

Raiola also commented on Italian media suggestions that Inter are interested in sighing Ezequiel Lavezzi.

“There is a strong rapport between Napoli and Inter, as confirmed by the Goran Pandev deal. I think Inter want fresh blood and Lavezzi has already proved his worth in Italy. When a player has shown a certain consistency, he becomes an important target for top clubs.”

The Nerazzurri have also been linked with a January swoop for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, which would beat arch rivals Milan to the punch.

“Anything is possible in football. Until the player signs a contract, he can always change his mind. Milan declared to everyone that they are targeting Tevez, but only under certain conditions. If Inter make a better offer to City, then they can become an important rival in this race.”
