Atletico Madrid rule out loan deal for Juventus target Morata

Juventus are still keen to bring back Alvaro Morata but they’ve suffered a blow as Atletico Madrid reportedly rule out a loan deal.

The 29-year-old Spanish striker spent the last two years on loan with the Bianconeri and he particularly impressed in the second year under Massimiliano Allegri, being a key contributor to their attack at a vital time as both Paulo Dybala and Federico Chiesa remained sidelined with injuries.

As reported by Tuttosport, Massimiliano Allegri is desperate to bring back Morata but he may be forced to look elsewhere as Atletico Madrid are only willing to let the 29-year-old leave in a definitive transfer.

The Spanish side want around €35m for the former Chelsea man, the amount that the Old Lady would’ve had to have paid to make his loan stay permanent earlier this summer.

The reason why Atletico Madrid have ruled out a loan deal is due to La Liga’s stringent financial rules; selling him in a year after a loan spell further amortises the cost of Morata, something Diego Simeone’s side are looking to avoid.
