Atalanta secure Frabotta from Juventus

Atalanta have reportedly agreed terms with Juventus to sign Gianluca Frabotta on loan with obligation to buy.

According to Calciomercato.com, the two clubs had originally been discussing a loan with option to make it permanent at the end of the season.

However, La Dea are now prepared to commit to an obligation, seemingly so they can push away the competition for Frabotta’s signature from Genoa.

The left-back just turned 22 last month and is considered to be a valid alternative to Robin Gosens, so the German international can allow for some squad rotation this season.

Frabotta was a product of the Bologna youth academy and Juventus paid €2.6m to sign him in the summer of 2019.

He made 18 appearances for Juventus, contributing one goal and one assist.
