Reports in Italy claim Juventus will try to sign a centre-back in the January transfer window, with Jakub Kiwior, Jorrel Hato, and Maxence Lacroix among their options.

Juventus star defender Bremer will undergo surgery in the coming days after sustaining a cruciate ligament injury in a Champions League game against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Several reports in Italy claim that the Bianconeri won’t get a replacement before the January transfer window, which means they are uninterested in free agents currently available on the market.

Gazzetta and Tuttosport, however, suggest that Cristiano Giuntoli will try to get a new centre-back during the winter transfer window.

According to the pink paper, Arsenal defender Kiwior is an option for the Bianconeri. The Poland international was linked with a move to Turin last summer and has already played under Thiago Motta at Spezia.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are monitoring Ajax defender Hato (18) and Crystal Palace’s Lacroix (24). The latter was a Juventus target when he joined Palace from Wolfsburg in the summer.

According to Tuttosport, another option for Juventus is to bring back Tarik Muharemovic from his loan at Sassuolo.

In the meantime, Motta will probably use Pierre Kalulu and Federico Gatti as the starting centre-backs, but Juan Cabal and Danilo can also be deployed in central defence.
