Ancelotti to Milan difficult, but…

Carlo Ancelotti is being linked with a return to Milan, with it being implied as ‘difficult, but not impossible’.

The Real Madrid Coach enjoyed success on the Rossoneri’s bench from 2001 to 2009, lifting among other trophies the Scudetto and two Champions Leagues.

Whilst Vincenzo Montella and Unai Emery continue to be listed as the two most likely candidates to come in and succeed Pippo Inzaghi at the end of the season, Sky Sport 24 suggest that Ancelotti remains the ideal first choice.

Whilst Vincenzo Montella and Unai Emery continue to be listed as the two most likely candidates to come in and succeed Pippo Inzaghi at the end of the season, Sky Sport 24 suggest that Ancelotti remains the ideal first choice.

Sky believe that chances of enticing him back depend on the economic options opened up by investment from one of the two groups in talks with Silvio Berlusconi.

Should one of those deals be complete, then it is reported that Milan’s hopes are of rebuilding the team around a strong player – said to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic – and a strong Coach, namely Ancelotti.
