Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear that he is not at Napoli to ‘dillydally’ ahead of Saturday’s Serie A showdown with Juventus.

“Some who played on Wednesday will also play tomorrow,” he said at a Press conference.

“There have been some important performances and many of the lads are fit. It’s an important test, we’re in a good run of form and Juve are a good test.

“We’re in excellent condition, the team are well and motivated for this match. I’ll have problems choosing an XI because more than 11 of my players deserve to start.

“We’ve prepared ourselves and we want to do well. The draw? I’ve never taken a draw in my life for a draw. I’d like to bring something home, specifically a win.

“I’m not here to dillydally. The conditions [for us to succeed] are in place: the club are organised, the team have quality and the fans are fired up.

“The game is worth three points, no more than that, although a victory can give us plenty of enthusiasm.

“Favourites or underdogs? We’ll play to limit their quality and express ourselves, I’m not looking at the odds.

“We want to be competitive on all fronts and these games help us understand how far we can go.

“Allegri knows how we play and where we’ve changed, there are no more secrets in football thanks to TV and video.

“He’s a great Coach, he manages to bring the best out of what he has. I’d call him practical. I have a good relationship with him and I have great respect for him, as he has for me.

“Ronaldo against Insigne? It will be Juventus-Napoli, both of us will try to impose our games and there will be no personal confrontations.

“The team who play better will win. As for Ronaldo, I’m deeply grateful, beyond his goals that helped us win the Champions League, above all for the human qualities he showed.

“I’m happy he’s in Italy, he adds value and for me he should always win the Ballon d’Or.”

Ancelotti’s handling of Lorenzo Insigne has been compared to how he used Alessandro Del Piero at Juve…

“Both Lorenzo and Alex were great before I coached them,” he maintained.

“That said, Insigne is playing very well as a second striker and I’m very satisfied with both sides to his game.

“Callejon? We’re talking about a very important player. He knows very well what he has to do in all aspects of a match.

“The team are young, and the fact we have players with great experience like Albiol and Callejon really helps the entire squad.

“VAR? I think it’s come in too late. I hope it’s used in the Champions League before 2020.”
