The striker is available for transfer in January given that he hasn’t played a single minute for the Old Lady this season.

His contract in Turin, worth €3.8m a campaign, is also set to expire in June 2012.

Reports yesterday suggested that the two clubs met to discuss a possible move and the Viola’s interest has now been confirmed.

“I can deny interest in Amauri from Roma, but there has been an official offer from Fiorentina,” Ernesto Bronzetti, one of his agents, told SportItalia.

“We will now evaluate it.”

Amauri, 31, joined Juventus in 2008 from Palermo and spent the first six months of 2011 on loan at Parma.

Fiorentina have sold Alberto Gilardino to Genoa this month, while they are also close to handing over Santiago Silva to Boca Juniors.
