Massimiliano Allegri adds Kevin-Prince Boateng and Alberto Aquilani to the injury list, but “Milan need the three points against Lecce.”

The Rossoneri are struggling so far this season in Serie A and travel to the Stadio Via del Mare without Thiago Silva, Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso, Alexandre Pato and Mathieu Flamini.

“Aquilani and Boateng are in doubt, but we hope to have them ready for Sunday's game,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Massimo Ambrosini has now fully recovered. This is a difficult test, as Milan haven't won away to Lecce in 10 years, so we have to break this taboo.

“Lecce will cause problems for us and have players of quality. We absolutely need the three points. At this moment we need a result away from home, but above all we really need the points.”

Milan are boosted by the fact the Salentini have lost all their games at the Stadio Via del Mare this season.

“We've got to be aware of the importance of this match and respect Lecce. They played well even when losing. Every Serie A fixture is tough.

“We've got to reach the break for international duty in a better position than the one we have now, as it's not great.”

Allegri won the Scudetto in his debut season at San Siro, but was asked about his contract that expires in June 2012.

“I am not thinking about that. Along with the club we will evaluate what to do, but there are no big problems on my part. Right now we have to focus on the team and improving our position.

“We are getting better and have started playing for each other again. We create many scoring opportunities and it was a good performance against BATE Borisov on Wednesday.

“What we do need is to maintain that grit and concentration that gives our opponents no respite. Last season we wouldn't even let the other team near our penalty area.”
