Allegri demands Juventus ‘intensity’ against Salernitana

Max Allegri explains the attitude he wants from Juventus and specifically Moise Kean this evening against Salernitana. ‘We need intensity.’

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Bianconeri are feeling the pressure after three stalemates in five Serie A rounds, while they lost 2-1 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League midweek.

“We need the attitude of a team that takes the right approach to a game that is very important and complicated,” Allegri told DAZN.

“We must play well on a technical level, above all provide intensity with the desire to reach our objective of a victory, which will not be easy.”

There is a growing injury crisis at the club, with Adrien Rabiot, Manuel Locatelli, Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba, Wojciech Szczesny, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge out of action.

“It’s disappointing to be without Locatelli and Rabiot, but I already took a risk with Di Maria in Florence and that made it worse. When they are not at 100 per cent, there is always a risk and I don’t want to risk these two.”

Max Allegri had been expected to give youth a chance this evening, but Federico Gatti and Nicolò Fagioli are again on the bench, with only Moise Kean stepping into the starting XI.

“I expect Kean to have a positive attitude, desire to put himself about and work hard. He is an important player, he has given us a big hand when coming on in previous games and I trust he will do well this evening.”
