Allegri: ‘Arsenal won’t be easy’

Massimiliano Allegri warns Milan “it won’t be easy” in Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Arsenal, even after a convincing 4-0 win over Palermo.

The Rossoneri have one foot in the quarter-finals thanks to a 4-0 first leg win, but the Gunners appear to have rediscovered their form since then.

“I expect my team to face the Arsenal test with even greater strength than the first leg, because we know it won’t be easy despite the advantage we have accumulated,” the Coach told Milan Channel.

“We did very well against Palermo, especially in the first half. After the break we were wise to control the tempo and go on counter-attacks for the fourth goal.

“Up until yesterday, Palermo had an excellent home record and a lot of quality in their individual players. Thiago Silva put in a strong performance and scored a goal, but I’d also underline the good show from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho.

“Ibra returned from his three-match ban with hunger and enthusiasm. He’s scoring a lot of goals as well as assists this season and we hope he can maintain this momentum.”
