Agnelli calls for Juventus to be ‘all united’ during capital gains case

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli summoned all of the club’s staff, including the first team squad, to give a speech regarding the capital gains case today.

The Bianconeri are currently under investigation by Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding suspicious capital gains recorded in their balance sheets for 2019, 2020 and 2021. 16 current and former staff members, including Agnelli, Pavel Nedved and former sporting director Fabio Paratici are all under investigation and could go on trial.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Agnelli summoned all of Juventus’ employees this morning at the training centre in Continassa, including the playing and backroom staff, the management and the coaches. He wanted the clarify the situation amid the ongoing capital gains case and discuss the club’s position.

The message of Agnelli’s speech was “all united, the club has always acted with correctness”, making it clear that the club need to stick together and stay calm during this tense period.

This has come at a terrible time for Juventus considering their on-pitch issues; the Bianconeri were eliminated from the Champions League this week following their group stage loss to Benfica, forcing the club to miss out on vital revenues from the competition.
