Abbas: ‘Fiorentina lost on Salah’

Mohamed Salah’s representative Ramy Abbas crowed that “Fiorentina lost the case on all fronts” for Mohamed Salah, after Chelsea and Roma are cleared.

The Viola saw their complaint rejected in FIFA arbitration after a year of controversy and accusations.

“Fiorentina lost the case on all fronts for Mohamed Salah, so I’d love to see what they’ve got to say for themselves now,” representative Abbas told Firenzeviola.it.

“Will Roma or Chelsea have to pay compensation to the Viola? No, nothing of the sort. This whole story is finally over.”

Fiorentina have so far refused to comment, claiming they have not yet been formally told about the FIFA verdict.

Salah had joined Fiorentina in January 2014 as part of the deal taking Juan Cuadrado to Chelsea.

His six-month loan had an option to extend for a further year, which the Viola activated, but Salah refused to accept it.

He was instead sent to Roma on loan with a mandatory option to buy.

The Tuscans had demanded compensation or a six-month ban for Salah.
