It is reported Lazio will hold a meeting with prospective Coach Gianfranco Zola today, while the club officially extends Albano Bizzarri and Lionel Scaloni’s contracts.

The Biancocelesti are revamping the squad this summer after Edy Reja confirmed his departure, hinting he could take a year out of football.

Former West Ham United boss Zola is the hot favourite for the Olimpico bench and had also been in talks when Reja offered to resign in February.

Current Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is another option, as he is a former Lazio player, but it’s reported Zola will meet with the club today.

That’s because he is in Munich for the Champions League Final along with Lazio director of sport Igli Tare.

Meanwhile, Lazio have officially extended the contracts of two of their players.

Goalkeeper Bizzarri put pen to paper until June 2014, while Scaloni signed on until June 2013, as his contract was set to expire.

Both players are 34 years old.
