Napoli announce Piotr Zielinski’s swab test came back negative, but the Poland midfielder underwent a new one along with Italy internationals.

“The test taken by Piotr Zielinski yesterday evening has come back negative. Zielinski has taken another test this morning, alongside the three Italy internationals, with results expected before training this afternoon,” Napoli’s official statement reads.

Zielinski tested first positive and then negative for COVID after international duty with Poland.

There was an outbreak of Coronavirus inside the Poland camp, hitting, among others Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.

Zielinski already had COVID-19 in October, which was why the trip to Turin for the Juventus match did not go ahead.

Another outbreak in the Italy national team involved four staff members and Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.

Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Lorenzo Insigne and Alex Meret underwent swab tests upon their international duty return and tested negative.
