Zenit’s sporting director reportedly had a list of five players to watch during Fiorentina’s loss to Empoli on Sunday.

The Russian club’s representative Henk van Stee was spotted in the Stadio Castellani stands during Empoli’s 2-0 win in the Tuscan derby yesterday.

Viola Coach Paulo Sousa has been linked with a move to St Petersburg, but he said after the game that ‘it’s normal’ to have scouts watching.

Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Van Stee was spotted with a piece of paper that had five names written on it.

They were Fiorentina’s Marcos Alonso, Nikola Kalinic, Federico Bernardeschi, and Matias Vecino and Empoli’s Riccardo Saponara according to the paper.

The outlet also believes that the Russian club wanted to see Sousa in action, but all five players on the list could be leaving during the summer transfer window.
