The Rossoblu continued their poor form against the Friuli in Sardinia, suffering back-to-back defeats and extended the winless run to eight matches in Serie A.
The coach joked after getting asked why he took off Riccardi Ladinetti, why Gaston Pereiro played behind the strikers and why Daniele Ragatzu played out wide against the Bianconeri.

The coach joked after getting asked why he took off Riccardi Ladinetti, why Gaston Pereiro played behind the strikers and why Daniele Ragatzu played out wide against the Bianconeri.
“I brought Ladinetti off to play more attacking football. We decided to put two holding midfielders and remove him,” Zenga said at a press conference. “Why Pereiro played behind the strikers and not out wide? Where should I put him?
“His position is behind the strikers. Why Ragatzu played out wide? How many why’s are there?
“Ragatzu started as a false nine but we couldn’t get the better of their back three and we decided to move him to cover their defenders. Before he could play on the wing, but not now?”
Zenga felt the Casteddu would have done better had they started the match like they did the second half.
“If we had approached the game as we did in the second half, we would have seen a more proactive Cagliari for the whole 90 minutes,” Zenga added. “At the beginning we didn’t do well.
“Especially in the distribution of the game and in how we went to get them. In the second half we settled.”
