Inter enigma Mauro Zarate will end the current campaign at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, his agent has confirmed.

The Argentine joined the San Siro giants in the summer on a loan deal from capital club Lazio – the side who Inter will entertain this weekend.

The attacker has struggled to make an impact though and he’s been linked with a January exit as a result.

“The evaluations of the Nerazzurri directors are different from the ones that are being heard in public,” Beppe Bozzo told SportItalia.

“Inter don’t want to deprive themselves of the player.

“It’s very probable that Coach Claudio Ranieri will not let the Argentine leave until the end of the season.”

Zarate, 24, has made 18 appearances for the Beneamata, but he’s only scored one goal so far.

Of the 12 League games he has featured in, he has started just six. He has yet to play a full 90 minutes in Serie A for the Nerazzurri.

Zarate is being linked with a switch to Genoa by some reports on Wednesday.
