Duvan Zapata is expected to play his last game for Atalanta today, joining Roma for circa €6m on Monday, reports in Italy claim.
Il Corriere dello Sport, Calciomercato.com and Sky Sport Italia claim Roma are confident about reaching an agreement to sign the Colombian forward from Atalanta for €6m tomorrow.
Both the Giallorossi and La Dea make their 2023-24 Serie A debut today. Roma host Salernitana at the Stadio Olimpico, while Atalanta visit Sassuolo.
Gian Piero Gasperini said on Saturday that Zapata would start at the Mapei Stadium. Nevertheless, Roma expect to reach an agreement with Atalanta on Monday.
Zapata will earn €3m per season at the Stadio Olimpico, according to Calciomercato.com.
‘If plans don’t change, Zapata will be a Roma player tomorrow [Monday],” wrote Il Corriere dello Sport.
As per Sky Sport Italia, Roma are also working on a deal to sign Marcos Leonardo with Santos. The Giallorossi are planning to reach an agreement with for Brazilian forward in the current transfer window, leaving the 20-year-old on loan at his current club until January..
