Nicolò Zaniolo is “so happy” with his debut Serie A goal, a spectacular solo effort for Roma, but won’t stand for Francesco Totti comparisons.
The 19-year-old broke his duck in style during the 3-1 win over Sassuolo, bursting down the right flank, cutting inside to send defenders to ground and chipping the goalkeeper.
“I am so happy with the goal, especially as we won and that was fundamental for us,” Zaniolo told Sky Sport Italia.

“We now have to win at Parma as well so we can get back into the Champions League race.”
Zaniolo was told the goal was reminiscent of one scored by Totti in 2004.
“Comparing me to him is impossible!”
