Inter vice president Javier Zanetti is working to strengthen Inter’s brand and is aware that a strong team on the pitch is not enough to win.
The former defender spoke to Il Corriere della Sera magazine L’Economia. “To me, winning means to improve in economic and social terms to then invest in the sporting part,” he said.
“Right now, I am working to develop the brand and focus on international relations. I’ve noticed that a strong team off the pitch is also needed to win. It’s not just about competencies but also values and mentality.
“Inter are a family to me and I had to prepare for my new role adequately,” he continued.
“I decided to study at Bocconi University, following the Sport’s Executive Coaching Management course. I had the target of implementing my view and contributing to the club’s good.”
The Nerazzurri are now three points behind table leaders Milan who host Bologna at the Stadio Meazza tonight.
