Zamp: ‘Vazquez suits Roma, Napoli’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini believes Franco Vazquez would do well at “Juventus, but also Napoli or Roma”.

The attacking midfielder was the Rosanero’s star man this season, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.

“I think the big clubs aren’t coming forward to avoid pushing up the price,” Zamparini explained on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

The attacking midfielder was the Rosanero’s star man this season, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.

“I think the big clubs aren’t coming forward to avoid pushing up the price,” Zamparini explained on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“He’s the best trequartista on the market right now, he’s a complete player. He’d do well at Juventus, but also Napoli or Roma, where he’d do very well as a false-nine.

“I don’t know what’s wrong in [Napoli President Aurelio] De Laurentiis’ head in terms of the transfer market, but he hasn’t asked me for Vazquez.”

The patron also confirmed that he is looking to sell the Sicilian side.

“In the next few days I’ll have talks with possible partners from abroad, to build an even stronger Palermo.

“I won’t be the President of Palermo, I’ll find someone to put in my place.”
