Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini reveals he offered Franco Vazquez to Juventus this summer.
The playmaker joined Sevilla in the transfer window, and will face the Bianconeri in the Champions League tonight, but the Rosanero patron claims he could have been on the other side.
“I’ve seen them [Juventus] a lot following Paulo [Dybala],” Zamparini explained to La Repubblica.
“It’s the same for his as for Vazquez, I’m just sorry not to see them play together.

“I offered him [Vazquez] to Beppe Marotta, I told him he’d be the next Michel Platini, but he didn’t give me a straight answer and so he went to Palermo.
“Dybala and Vazquez are like my footballing sons, as were Javier Pastore, Edinson Cavani, and many others who left Palermo.
“Who am I supporting tonight? I’m cheering for the players.”
